After the flash, the mirror-room fell silent once again.

Silent as the grave.

Shards of once-coloured glasslike material lay, strewn over the chamber's hard, cold floor like so many scattered leaves. Scattered by that wondrous infusion of Chaos energy, given from that being's touch.

The shards faded entirely to black, all but one, that is.

One shard remained coloured, glowing brightly in the dark chamber. It had a shape of darkness on it - a rough box-shape with five protrusions. A handprint. If any one had been looking, they would have seen the being's reflection, eyes frozen in a look of awe, extending impossibly through the reflective surface.

But, no-one was there, just like home.

The shard crackled, purple and black energy arching into the air with a thunder-like bang, splitting the very air open.

The energy faded, and a shape remained. The shard went dark, and there he stood... A reflection.

Shadow the hedgehog's reflection.

He blinked, stumbling a little on his new legs.
"Who... what?" he managed, almost falling onto the broken glass. Walking? What was that?

Suddenly, the being stood perfectly still, memories flooding into him.
He sighed, a long, refreshed sound, full of pleasure and delight.

"I am Shadow the hedgehog!?" he shouted gleefully into the chamber, announcing this to no-one.

"No, wait. I'm not, am I?" the being asked himself. Shadow's form, his memories, his mannerisms, past experiences... Everything 'borrowed' from the so-called Ultimate Life Form...

The being clapped in delight, hopping a little. Borrow? Why not steal!?

"Well, I'm going to need a name. I'm not Shadow! I am... Prince... Wodahs! And I! I... am in the game, baby!" he proclaimed with a sly smile, flexing his new arms in a wide gesture.

Hm. This body - and its memories - were going to take some getting used to...

Walking over to a fallen piece of rubble that looked about right, Wodahs sat, cradling his head in his palm as he thought, rifling through Shadow's memories.

They were vague and difficult to understand. But... what's this?

A figure stood out, the most beautiful pink hedgehog in a striking red dress...

Give them a chance to be happy, Shadow...

What was a hedgehog? More importantly, what was this feeling? Was this... love? Yes! Love!

A smile spread across Wodahs' face, revealing a set of fangs that existed on the sides of his jaw.
"I LOVE AMY ROSE!" he proclaimed, leaping into the sunlight. His grey, pink-striped body dazzled in the light, and he smirked, doing a twirl and landing back inside the chamber.

She was beautiful! She was wonderful! She was perfection!

Scratch that. He was perfection, but she was a pretty close second. Or was she? Hmm... it was difficult. Maybe they could share joint-first?

Ah, ain't that just so romantic?

Realising he now, from Shadow's memories, knew where he was, he leapt back outside, but not before grabbing a dagger-like shard of Mirror. A little piece of home, to take on his travels.

Flying over the water, Wodahs dropped from the sky, flipping forward with a giggle. He landed on the ground with catlike grace, and prepared to use Shadow's speed to get to... whatever it was called. Forest place.

A bird sang, and Wodahs' ears perked up. From Shadow's memories, he knew this was nothing special, but... everything, simply existing, brought such great joy to him. He wanted to experience things his way, not Shadow's.

A look of joy on his face, Wodahs began the joyful stroll he had in mind, still heading to Freedom Forest but taking his sweet time.

This... was going to be sooo much fun...
